Gender Pay Gap in Poland

The European Commission figures the gender pay gap in Poland as 7.2 per cent (2016). However, data from Poland and UN Women indicate that the pay gap is likely to be much higher. UN Women states that the gender pay gap stays at 15 per cent. Even higher, estimates from Poland indicate a gap of 21.4 per cent.

Equal Pay Day in Poland

Since 2010, BPW Poland organises various activities on the Equal Pay Day.

Equal Pay Day 2019

On March 12, 2019, the Equal Pay Day has been held in Poland. BPW Poland was taking various actions, e.g. debates, putting the EPD topic "on the table" at various meetings and conferences throughout the country until November 2019.

Equal Pay Day 2017

The Equal Pay Day 2017 has been held on March 9. The campaign is rounded up by various seminars on equal pay and a media campaign.

Equal Pay Day 2016

In 2016, the Equal Pay Day has been held on March 12. More information is available in Polish here.

Equal Pay Day 2015

In 2015, the EPD has been held at March 19. On this day, various demonstration for equal pay have taken place and information material has been distributed in the streets.
